Partner Kelsey Kornick Funes Named Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation
BATON ROUGE – Aug 22, 2012 – Kelsey Kornick Funes, a partner in Phelps Dunbar’s Baton Rouge office, has been named a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation.In order to be named a fellow, a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association must exhibit dedication to the advance of justice in their professional, public and private careers and contribute to the Louisiana Bar Foundation. Fellows participate in leadership, volunteering and professional development activities throughout the year.
Ms. Funes practices in Phelps Dunbar’s commercial litigation group, with an emphasis on construction law. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in their disputes involving public and private construction projects. Outside of the construction realm, Ms. Funes has successfully represented clients in a variety of commercial matters including tax sale redemption, products liability, premises liability, anti-trust, professional liability and environmental insurance coverage.
She is active in legal, business and community activities, including the Federal, Louisiana State and Baton Rouge Bar Associations, the American Bar Association Forum on Construction and Alzheimer’s Services of the Capitol Area.
