Phelps Dunbar Partner Thomas Kent Morrison Appointed to Federal Bar Association Board of Directors

NEW ORLEANS – Aug 16, 2012 – Phelps Dunbar LLP partner Thomas Kent Morrison has been appointed to join the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association Board of Directors. He was installed at today’s Federal Bar Association Annual Meeting at the Westin New Orleans and will serve a one-year term.

As a board member of the Federal Bar Association, Mr. Morrison will work to bolster the federal legal system and promote justice by serving the needs of federal attorneys, judges and the public served. The New Orleans Chapter regularly provides CLE opportunities, news and information on the federal legal system to its members and hosts networking events for federal attorneys and judiciary members.

Mr. Morrison practices in Phelps Dunbar’s admiralty group, representing maritime employers, vessel owners, dock and terminal owners, and underwriters in litigation involving personal injury defense, collisions, allisions, wavewash/surge damage, groundings, salvage and cargo matters. He regularly represents his clients both locally and nationally in state and federal courts.
