Phelps Dunbar Attorneys Garner Reversal of Jury Award in Fifth CircuitOn May 15, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit overturned a jury verdict against Hinds Community College of Raymond, MS. At trial, the jury awarded the plaintiff, a professor, $345,020.00 on her claim of Title VII retaliation. The appellate court reversed that award and rendered jundgment in favor of the college.
